    Solid Ammo

Posted by Ethan Tonkinson on Nov 30, 2023

I put 500 rounds through my new Daniel Defense DD4 RIII, 16 inch barrel, using 10 new Gen 2 PMAGS and one standard DD 32 RD mag over two days. I first zeroed my rifle using my primary carry ammunition, surplus m855, then used this ammunition to run drills and break in my rifle. At the time of purchase, it was the cheapest brass case ammunition I could find in bulk when accounting for quick shipping using AmmoSeek. The gentleman I spoke to in verifying my shipment arrival date was honestly super funny in his response to my question, guy needs a raise. First off, I hand counted 1 box, and all 250 rounds were present, so I didn't feel the need to count the second. Ammo was clean, honestly looked brand new, albeit about 30% of the casings were notably dented... but this did not effect cycling whatsoever. I was impressed with the accuracy of this ammunition. I was able to group 1 MOA at 200 yds using an AimPoint PRO from a seated supported position our of my DD, and grouped the same (probably sub) with my Dad's .223 Wylde on a spikes lower using his old Buckmaster 3x9. We had absolutely no issue consistently landing shots at that distance on various size steel. I had ZERO FTF/FTE on day one. Overall, this ammo performed very well, was consistently accurate and the price point was right for training ammunition. I would not hesitate to purchase again, given good pricing with market fluctuations. Customer service can make or break a company, and again, dude that answered the phone and answered my arrive-by question just hit my funny bone with his response. That goes a long way.
